Welcome to the Heartbeat of Time blog!

This is a place where you are invited to come away and rest as we listen to each other share the wisdom of the ages read (or written) aloud, share the story of our own heart’s journey through time, and share conversations about how to walk the way of faith with courage and joy.  

My name is Aliel Cunningham and I am a professor of Linguistics, a writer about the phenomenology of time, relationships, and a fellow pilgrim along the Way.

This blog is dedicated to cultivating a space which invites you to step away from your frenetic schedule of doing into a place of being still and listening deeply for the voice of wisdom and truth and to our own hearts response as cultivating habits of listening through story, conversation, and prayer.

This is a place where we invite the sharing of life experiences related to our relationship with listening to time, heart, and truth as we inhabit stories, wonder, and our unique faith journeys in order to encourage and engage others in knowing Christ more deeply each new day.
